Simmons 2nd Floor Renovation

Simmons Foods, a distinguished family-owned and privately-held enterprise, specializes in providing high-quality poultry, pet, and animal nutrition products. The Simmon’s Food Second Floor Tenant Improvement marked a pivotal milestone in the evolution of Simmons Foods’ state-of-the-art headquarters in Siloam Springs, Arkansas. This phase of the project involved the development of approximately 34,000 square feet of innovative office space for their engineering and reliability, poultry administration, sales & marketing and live growers divisions. TCM Enterprises is honored to have been chosen by the project’s Construction Manager, C.R. Crawford Construction, to contribute to this dynamic initiative.

Our Scope

TCM Enterprises’ scope of work encompassed selective demolition, metal stud framing, insulation and drywall installation, along with the integration of distinctive wall and ceiling finishes. Noteworthy among the challenges were the intricate specialty ceiling finishes, featuring Armstrong Woodworks linear veneered planks. The specialized wall systems included Zintra acoustic wall tiles, planks, textured panels, and an aluminum Fortina louvered wall, each posing unique challenges that required a deep understanding of their intricacies.

These specialties systems are particularly challenging as they require the installer to learn the intracity of each system and to understand how to adapt the system to the conditions in a way that meets the design intent. The systems must be planned and modified to seamlessly incorporate the lighting, mechanical and fire protection systems provided by other trades.

Executing the project within an existing and operational office building demanded careful attention to site cleanliness, noise management, and strategic routing of staff and materials to minimize disruptions for building users. The complexities of working within an existing structure were further compounded by variations between the building plans and on-site conditions. Despite these challenges, TCM Enterprises demonstrated exceptional adaptability, making necessary adjustments without imposing additional financial burdens on the project and its owner. TCM Enterprises’ successful execution of these tasks underscores our commitment to excellence and our ability to overcome challenges.
