THADEN SCHOOL PERFORMANCE BUILDING
Symmetrical elegance and modern elements grace the Thaden School Performance Building. The building design is unique in that it is inspired agriculture, aviation and a classic sportscar. The Walton Family Foundation funded school opened in 2017 to serve grades 6 -12. The Thaden School website states, “Many classrooms and work areas open into adjacent outdoor areas, and a variety of porches, pavilions, and breezeways further extend the open-air feeling of the campus experience. Sustainability is also a tangible and important part of a Thaden education: we weave reclaimed materials and structures into the fabric of the School, beginning with the historic McPhetridge House, and have designed the campus in ways that give students hands-on opportunities to study and minimize their environmental impact.” TCM Enterprises installed approximately 5,500 sq ft of cement fiber panels, 1,400 sq ft of fabric wrapped panels on the interior, and 1200 Tectum panels.
